Protect your Goodies!

In today’s fast moving escalator of business, it has become necessary to do a little risk management of your personal and business assets! While you may be in the job of all jobs or have a highly successful business, it has become evident that change in the business environment can mean a possible unwanted change for you! Take stock in the value that you or your business bring to the table and make sure that you keep those scales tipped in your favor with lots of goodies. Keep your education up to date and relevant, know the technology threats to you or your business that might pose a risk to your market position, and be sure that your network of contacts and colleagues know your assets and continue to see value in them! It is increasingly important to ‘mind the store’ where your skill set and business briefcase of goodies is concerned in order that you maintain your position and be in a place to realize the advantage for growth and promotion. If your company offers the option to further your education on their dime, take that opportunity! If you have the chance to do some promotion in the form of service to your community through a local charity, do it! When you are socializing, especially among a group of people that are largely unknown to you, take advantage of your chance to express how a potential for a business relationship might be possible. Develop ways to seize opportunities to communicate your wealth of goodies to others beginning with your power packed response to the ever popular question “what do you do?” Remember to keep yourself dusted off and connected, always attempting to be one step ahead of the competition, and by all means, protect those goodies!
